We appreciate that making a good application requires time and effort. In order to make your application the best it can be, our advice would be:
Do your research. Review the main G&T website www.gardiner.com to get a feel for the type of projects we have worked on and tell us in your application where you think you might be able to add value to the business.
Tell us why you want to work for G&T. We are aware that you will be making a number of applications but try to avoid generic copy and paste answers as they do not do justice to your application.
Remember that your application is your chance to shine. This really is the first opportunity for you to sell yourself to us, so think about who will be reading your application. Try to keep paragraphs succinct and relevant while giving us enough specific information to make a decision.
Remember it is not only your academic achievements we are interested in but other activities you have been involved in outside of your studies. Give us a chance to get to know you a little bit by telling us something about your interests, passions and leisure pursuits.
Spelling, grammar and proof reading are important and help to make a good first impression. It sounds rather obvious, however an otherwise strong application can be let down by poor attention to detail. It is worth getting someone else to check through your application before submitting.
